Product Details

Powerful broadleaf weed control, safe on your lawn. Bow & Arrow is a three-way herbicide that knocks out tough weeds without damaging couch, kikuyu, buffalo or ryegrass.

Overview

Bow & Arrow is the go-to choice for controlling the toughest broadleaf weeds in domestic lawns. Its three active ingredients work together to deliver both fast knockdown and long-term control, stopping weeds at the root and preventing regrowth.

Active Ingredients

MCPA 300 g/L; Clopyralid 20 g/L; Diflufenican 15 g/L

Classification: Selective post-emergent herbicide (Group I + II). Controls broadleaf weeds in warm-season turf.

Controls

Bow & Arrow targets a wide range of difficult broadleaf weeds through both leaf and root uptake, delivering deep systemic control.

  • Bindii (Soliva sessilis)
  • Creeping Oxalis (Oxalis corniculata)
  • Clover (Trifolium repens)
  • Cat's Ear (Hypochoeris radicata)
  • Plantain (Plantago lanceolata)
  • Capeweed (Arctotheca calendula)
  • Cudweed (Gnaphalium spp.)
  • …and many other broadleaf weeds

Application Rate

Area to Treat Product Dose Water Notes
100 m² 100–150 mL 5–10 L Spray evenly, covering all leaf surfaces
1,000 m² 1–1.5 L 50–100 L Use a backpack or trolley sprayer

Typical 500 mL pack treats approximately 2,500–5,000 m² depending on weed density and coverage.

How to Apply

  1. Choose a calm, dry day with temperatures between 10–25°C.
  2. Apply when weeds are actively growing, typically at the 2–6 leaf stage for best results.
  3. Mix Bow & Arrow with water according to the rate above. Use a pressure sprayer for even coverage.
  4. Spray all leaf surfaces until wet but not dripping. Thorough coverage is essential.
  5. Avoid mowing during the 3 to 4 days before and after treatment.
  6. Complete weed death may take up to 6 weeks. Faster results can be expected on smaller weeds.

Important Information

  • Timing: Apply spring through autumn when weeds are growing actively. Avoid winter application when growth is slow.
  • Rain: Do not use if rain is expected within 4 hours. This governs when to spray — the label sets no drying time after application.
  • Mowing: Avoid mowing during the 3 to 4 days before and after treatment.
  • Grass types: Safe on couch, kikuyu, buffalo, and ryegrass. NOT suitable for bentgrass or other cool-season fine turf.
  • Repeat applications: Most weeds require only one application. Re-treat only if regrowth warrants it.
  • Over-seeding: Due to residual effects of diflufenican, over-seeding treated areas within 3 months of application may inhibit establishment of the turf grass.

Regulatory Information

APVMA Registration: 64580/125186

Withholding Period: Do not graze treated turf, or cut any treated area (including turf clippings) for feeding to poultry or livestock, for 14 days after application.

Re-entry Interval: Do not allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried.
