Biostimulants and Soil Health

Supercharge your soil. Products that boost root growth, improve stress tolerance and activate soil biology — the half of lawn care that happens where you cannot see it. A lawn is only ever as good as the root system underneath it.

Working on the profile rather than the leaf

Biostimulants, humic and seaweed products and soil conditioners are not fertilisers, and they are not trying to be. Fertiliser supplies nutrient; these work on the soil's ability to hold it and on the plant's ability to reach it. The result shows up as deeper roots, better nutrient uptake and more resilience through the heat and wear that thin a shallow-rooted lawn first.

The payoff is slower than a colour response and considerably more durable. A lawn with roots at 150 mm and a lawn with roots at 30 mm can look identical in April and behave nothing alike in January, because one has a moisture and nutrient reserve to draw on and the other lives application to application.

One honest limitation

These are support, not a workaround. If the soil is compacted, nothing you apply gets past the constraint until the profile is physically opened up, and no product substitutes for coring a lawn that needs it — which is covered in our guide to compacted soil. Used alongside a fixed profile and a sensible feeding program, they are some of the best-value products on the site.
