G'day everyone, just wanted to take the time this afternoon just to talk to you a little bit about this area here and some pre-emergents as well. So earlier on we identified this area as having some issues with some hot spots. So we've treated it with some baseline fertiliser and also the Deep Shot, the granular wetting agent that you'll find online at The Lawn IQ website. And as you can see here today, it's certainly much healthier, the plants recovering nicely, a few afternoon storms help. We've also given our nut grass a little bit of a treatment as well. So that's coming down. So the next phase of that recovery program, we can use it for lawn recovery like this. We can also use pre-emergents for when you renovate your lawn as well. So any time that you're thinning out that canopy, you want to be definitely thinking about some pre-emergent. So if you jump on The Lawn IQ website, you'll see that we've got the Onset 10 GR, an excellent granular pre-emergent. For those who don't know what pre-emergent is or what it does, it's a herbicide. It specialises in taking out grassy weeds, which is a big advantage in lawns like this, that are buffalo lawns that are really hard to kill those grassy weeds. I describe the process with pre-emergents is once they're spread out, what they do with a water application, about 8-10ml that pre-emergent will melt down and it creates like a glad wrap layer of herbicide that stops any other plants from germinating. Now, when I say any other plants, it doesn't prevent, unfortunately, nut grass or broadleaf weeds. But both of those can be easily removed. And we'll talk a little bit about those in other videos. If you've got an area that's recovering, that you don't want to get any ingress of any other grass weeds, definitely jump online, have a look at the Onset 10 GR. Super easy to apply, easy process and it has up to a three month protection cycle. So three or four times a year you can apply this and keep your lawn covered all year round.
